چکیده
Hyperon-nucleon interactions are presented that are derived either in the conventional meson-exchange picture or within leading order chiral effective field theory. The chiral potential consists of one-pseudoscalar-meson exchanges and non-derivative four-baryon contact terms. With regard to meson-exchange hyperon-nucleon models we focus on the new potential of the Jülich group, whose most salient feature is that the contributions in the scalar–isoscalar (σ) and vector–isovector (ρ) exchange channels are constrained by a microscopic model of correlated ππ and KK exchange.

Extensive systematizations of theoretical and experimental nuclear densities and of optical potential strengths extracted from heavy-ion elastic scattering data analyses at low and intermediate energies are presented. The energy-dependence of the nuclear potential is accounted for within a model based on the nonlocal nature of the interaction. The systematics indicates that the heavy-ion nuclea...
متن کاملHyperon-nucleon interactions in effective field theory
Abstract. We have constructed the leading order hyperon-nucleon potential in a chiral Effective Field Theory approach. The chiral potential consists of one-pseudoscalar-meson exchanges and non-derivative four-baryon contact terms. The hyperon-nucleon interactions are derived using SU(3) symmetry, the nucleon-nucleon interaction is not considered explicitly since it can not be described well wit...

We construct the leading order hyperon-nucleon potential in chiral effective field theory. We show that a good description of the available data is possible and discuss briefly further improvements of this scheme.

The Λand Ξ-hyperon mean free paths in nuclei are firstly calculated in the relativistic mean field (RMF) theory. The real parts of the optical potential are derived from the RMF approach, while the imaginary parts are obtained from those of nucleons with the relations: U IY S = ασY · U IN S and U IY V = αωY ·U IN V . With the assumption, the depth of the imaginary potential for Ξ − is WΞ ≃ − 3....

Chiral effective field theory (EFT) provides a systematic and model-independent framework to analyze low-energy hadronic processes in harmony with the spontaneously broken approximate chiral symmetry of QCD. This approach has been successfully applied to the derivation of the nuclear forces and, more recently, also hyperon-nucleon and hyperon-hyperon interactions, see Refs. [1, 2, 3] for review...
